Colour keys are created to define what colours are used for each character. This is done so that each artist uses the same colours and the character looks the same throughout the movie.

The subject of Balto's fur colour is one of the many discussed topics among the fans, sometimes he looks brown and sometimes he looks grey and everyone has their own personal favourite. Below are a couple of "Colour Call-outs" which will answer this once and for all. If you wish to use these colours, open the colour pallet in PSP or Photoshop and type in the numbers in brackets in the appropriate C,M,Y and K boxes.

The printout for Balto is a little darker than the colours actually are on screen and to show this I have added a coloured line art of Balto using these codes, once and for all Balto was meant to be brown.
